Alan Bunning

Will You Matter in a Virtual World?

Alan Bunning is a Continuing Lecturer in Computer Science at Purdue University and previously was an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems at Ivy Tech Community College for 14 years. He holds 12 industry certifications in the field of computer technology. Alan is also the Executive Director for the Center for New Testament Restoration which uses computer heuristics in analysis of the extant Greek New Testament manuscripts. Alan has authored several Christian books including “The Church,” and his latest book titled, “Rationality.”

Session Description:
This talk will explore the meaning of life when faced with the
implications of virtual reality? What role will humans have with the rise of
artificial intelligence (AI)? Will mankind eventually be overrun by machines?
Or is human intelligence somehow different than AI? I will explore these
topics and what makes the human experience different, as well as The
Answer to the Great Question, of Life, the Universe and Everything.
